FRIENDS & FAMILY: This is What Being a Friend Is All About

Ok, momentary mushiness.  You will have to allow me the moment.

Once upon a time, three digitized avatars happened upon the same place at the same time.  All three very different from one another.  All three never expecting what the following days, weeks and months would bring and how it would affect them as a whole.

Change happens.  It is an inevitable truth.  And change did come.  In its many forms that reconstructed with each new turn.  Yet with each change, the three somehow came closer together.

Life happens.  People come and go.  Unexpected turns and twists leave us sometimes speechless and blindsided.  And yet, the three were still there – looking at each other and invisibly holding each other up.

And then you come to the present.  Reinvention brings the birth of a new day.  New aspects make the bond stronger.  And those that try to cut those ties, they find their scissors are not sharp enough.

For this is now a family.  Our friendship has held despite the boulders some try to throw.  We support each other when we are weak; laugh when we have no other reason to; dance whenever we find the time to; and stand together in front of the masses, ready to take on whatever comes our way.

So this post is a thank you to you guys.  My friends.  My family.  We’ve been through a lot together.  And if I thought about it long enough, I wouldn’t want it any other way.
