Turkey Backlash

I feel like I was the bird in the oven.  Overly stuffed.

I hope everyone who celebrates it had a happy and healthy Thanksgiving.  I’m still here, haven’t disappeared off the face of the earth completely.  Just changing the diaper on RL because it was screaming for a change.

No…..I’m not pregnant.  Move on. :p

I’ll be back to posting some stuff shortly.  So have a drink ready for me.

Also, I wanted to let everyone know that the RL Athena’s Cup has been extended through to October 2010 in hopes of gathering the bras needed to break the Guiness World Record.  With that said, the SL Athena’s Cup will more than likely be extended as well.  So if you would like to participate but the holiday season isn’t the best time for you, have no fear.  It will still be around for a while.

I am so overwhelmingly grateful for the designers that have agreed to join me in this cause.  It means so much to me and I can’t wait to see how much is donated to this wonderful cause!

So this would be the official launch of the SLAC!  What I will be doing is as each designer lets me know that their item is up and ready in their store, I will post the store’s SLurl.  Keep in mind that each designer was given the option to run their pieces for either the entire time (until 1/1/10) or for a limited time as they saw fit.  So you might not want to wait too long before running over to get yours!

The Athena’s Cup

Athena’s Cup is going on now through January 10th, when we will hook up the bras at our January sales meeting.

This is my home business (Athena’s), so all information sent to me is kept confidential. 

I am also tinkering with the idea of asking some designers to get involved – something with pink bras.  If you would like to help me figure that out, I would love your assistance!

Wow, October is Almost Here Already?

Why am I seeing Christmas wrapping paper in my local Walgreens already??  Too early.  Please put that away until at least Halloween.  Thank you.

I’m still here.  I even have blog posts lined up, outlined and all set to take photos of.  I can’t explain it, but once the weekend hits, it’s like Monday arrives and I can’t tell you what I did with the weekend.  I blame the laundry.  Right Jell?

So don’t give up on me.  Pretty please.  I know I’ve been begging for a while, but I love you all and hope you love me!

On a side note, in order to help pay my SL rent, I have started up the Purple Grapefruit Productions Studio.

What am I offering?  Well, I am offering you a semi-professional photo session.  Why semi-professional?  Because as much as I dream and wish I was, I simply cannot create the amazing works of SL photography that I have seen and know is out there.  But, I can give you a semi-professional photo that I work hard on and you hopefully deem is worth your money.

I was going to post last night.  I have myself all set to take piccies for the post I want to do.

And the asset server acts up…..again……

I wanted to post Saturday too.  And assets server issues….again….

Nope, Still Here! :-p

I know, I was supposed to post yesterday.  But I didn’t stop running around doing errands till late and then I made dinner (which was AWESOME) and then it was time for bed.  I flunk.  It’s all good though.

I did kind of do blogging stuff yesterday though.  I jotted down things I want to blog (aside from finishing Purple Month).  I’m excited knowing what I’m gonna be blogging……because it means I’ll be SHOPPINGGGGGGGG!!!!!

I was also reminiscing (I think that’s spelled right) on designers I visited the very first time when I was still a newbie.  How far those designers have come.  Flexi and sculpties helped.  But I remember visiting Mischief, Nyte’N'Day, Last Call (you are missed), Calla, Calico Creations, and ETD as a newb and being in awe even then.  Now….wow!  Just wow….

BOO!

I’m here, I’m here……  I’m a bad mommy, leaving my baby by herself for so long.

And I hate it.  I want to blog, I need to blog, I MUST BLOG!!

And the blogging will return!  Now that I have secured an AWESOME job (RL) and I have that income, I can resume my naughty spending habit which helps inspire me to blog.

So get ready for the Aly Train, because it’s fueling up to roll out!

But I want to apologize to the fashion designers for not blogging what is great stuff I have seen released as of late.  I hope you all forgive me and bear with me and DON’T FORGET ME!!!

And I want to apologize to my readers.  Because I haven’t given you anything new in about a month.  Hopefully, you haven’t all run away and will stick around.  DON’T FORGET ME!!!

WTH Have I Been? …and…. Fashion Expo!!

Did you think I fell off the face of the earth?

Newp.  I’m here!

I just…moved…ya know…like, packed up and moved.  To a whole other state.

So yeah….that’s what I’ve been doing! I’m sure I will be forgiven for temporary blogging outage now that you know that!

But listen!  Since I’ve been semi-AWOL, have you been to the Fashion Expo yet?  WHY NOT????????

Fashion Expo is going on now through June 14th!!

The sims are awesome!!  Replicas of the wonderful world of Oz!!  I explored them before I went offline and I was simply amazed.  It’s just soo cool!!

And then come on!!  I mean, GET YOUR SHOP ON!!!!  Over 50 designers from throughout SL in all genres:  clothing, shoes, hair, skin, poses….you are sure to find at least ONE item you want to buy while you are there.

Make sure you check out each designer’s special expo items on sale to completely benefit Relay for Life.  Those are in special vendors and are easy to find in each store.

Also make sure you check out the special special SPECIAL items going up for bid in the One Of A Kind Auction!  No replicas….you are getting a one of a kind piece if you have the winning bid.
